The Cathedral neighbourhood is one of Regina's earlier neighbourhoods. By the eve of World War I, two and three-storey wood houses lined the streets adjacent to Holy Rosary Cathedral on 13th Avenue. Neighbourhood growth and development moved south. The open spaces along College Avenue were filled with single detached dwellings by the end of the 1920s.
